Key
ratios we use to assess current and potential profitability
EBITDA
as a % of revenue:
EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization)
divided by revenues. This ratio, commonly known as the EBITDA operating
margin, indicates managements ability to minimize costs and maximize
profits.
Return
on assets:
Net income divided by total assets. This indicates how much the company
earns for each dollar of invested assets.
Revenues
as a % of total assets:
Revenues divided by the companys total assets. This indicator gives
analysts a precise measurement of managements ability to generate
revenues per dollar of capital invested.
Revenues
as a % of total equity:
Net income divided by total equity. This shows management's ability to
generate revenues per dollar of capital invested.
Return
on common equity:
Net income divided by shareholders' equity. This represents the amount
the shareholder would make per dollar invested.
