Earn that designation by having at least a better-than-average rate of growth over 10 years or more in a field of endeavor which is expanding as fast as or faster than the economy as a whole. The premier growth stocks are the predominant company within their industries, are diversified geographically, have a large asset base, a sound balance sheet and a management team with proven expertise. These admittedly high standards should be kept in mind when sorting out concept stocks from growth stocks.
